So much is happening and I really want to blog about it but I do not want to block my blessings or count on unhatched eggs. March 19th there is another group shoot approaching and my brain is going full speed with concepts and themes. Im working on my first series of curves and beginning a new shooting project. Last week I prayed for something to change because I was not happy and depressed, financially it wasn't worth it at all and I was drained..this week PROBLEM SOLVED and I have three major changes on the horizon. God doesn't bless mess and anything done out of spite will never prosper. 

No one owns your happiness, outside of yourself, without your personal permission. This past month I've been on a quest to figure out how to really get my photography out there and if I felt I was doing my best. In all honesty I love photography but most of this is trial and error and my lack of some technical training shows. So I've decided to heard back to the university this coming fall semester and finish my B.A. in new media / photography!!

Nothing else makes me happy but my art, I cannot possibly imagine living my life making someone else rich and ignoring my own calling. Artistically, I've repressed myself for a few months to see if I could handle the corporate world and in all honesty I can but my calling is elsewhere therefore my focus is not there. I'm constantly pursuing new concepts, color theory and mission groups to start traveling with to document life elsewhere.

I'm not happy doing anything else.

I have decided to take the last month or two off of photography, no blogs, no photos and no editing. I had to figure out my personal style and what I, personally, prefer. Sometimes you can become such a fan of someone else's work that you deny your own creativity to show. This year is completed devoted to my growth in photography. No more focusing on monetary gain but my artistic development, I would love to take classes to give me the classical instruction but with books and youtube etc..why pay? Project 365 starts next week, an image a day. An image that Im proud of daily would not only force me to find something to shoot in this snow covered area (seriously 3 blizzards in 2 weeks + ice storms) but it will give me a daily reminder of what I am good at shooting versus what I'm not so good at shooting.
